The Colorado Trail DATABOOK, 7th Edition ... WATERPROOF

Pocket-sized, the CT Databook is the "Cliff Notes" version of the CT Guidebook.  Users like carrying it and referring to it on the Trail.

The 7th Edition Databook is the first ever that's WATERPROOF, eliminating the need for protective plastic bags ... even handier!

The Databook answers your questions, including: How far is the next reliable water? How many miles? Where can I resupply? Information is presented in an easy-to-understand system of key words, symbols, maps and elevation profiles for each of the Trail segments.

The 7th Edition Databook is current for the 2018 trail season. It takes the place of all previous editions, containing information not covered in earlier versions. Many users choose to buy both the CT Databook and the CT Guidebook.

  • Water Sources - This 7th Edition Databook includes dozens of water sources not covered in previous editions.

  • Trail Reroutes - It tracks recent trail reroutes that lengthen the trail and change nearly all the "From Denver" mileages.

  • From-Denver Mileages - The alignment of CT Segment 7 changed between Databooks 6 and 7, causing a mileage shift that changes all of the from-Denver mileages between Breckenridge and Durango. While not too big a deal (only 0.4 mile difference) these numerous mileage changes might cause significant head scratching, especially for those also using the updated "Colorado Trail Hiker," Guthooks phone app, which will also use the updated from-Denver mileages.
  • Entire Colorado Trail - The pocket guide covers every inch of The Colorado Trail including the East and West portions of the Collegiate Loop. A glance and you'll know what's ahead.

  • Bicycle Routes - It includes maps and detail for all five bicycle wilderness detours, guiding cyclists along the 539-mile CT cycling route.
  • Updated Maps - The pocket-sized book presents revised and up-to-date color maps, adding key creeks, side trails and intersecting roads.
  • Elevation Profiles - Each trail segment includes a precise elevation graph helping travelers gauge the effort required. Bicycle detours also have elevation profiles.

  • Resupply Towns - The Databook covers each of the resupply locations, how far they are from the CT and services offered, etc.

  • Corrections - Corrections have been made throughout, improving on the previous edition.
  • Feature Descriptions - Readers will appreciate the robust, mile-by-mile features along the trail. Carried over from the previous edition are the nearby fourteeners and points of interest as well as road names and numbers.
